  1. Oh, the excitement!
Will people be camping out early to get the best position for photos???
Can the Ridgewood Police hold back the enthusiastic crowd?
Will it just be a single table at Latona handling the anticipated celebration?

  2. Celebration???? Are you kidding??? Another awful day for the Village (Village? I don’t think so)

  3. “Hey honey, do you feel like driving into town to have dinner at that new bistro?”
“Sure, but do you think we will be able to park the car close enough to the place?”
“Don’t worry, there’s that new multi-story car park we can use that smells like piss and cigarettes”.

  4. Amazing, I’m surprised they’re not shutting down Broad Street Hudson Street , Prospect st and. Ridgewood av , anyone know who got the bid to build this.

  5. Wait to see the size of the brass plaque they put on this garage with all their names on it. The will a giant cost over run.

  6. what a crock of shit

  7. Awful. I’ll do them a favor and not show up with a protest sign.

  8. Go visit the parking garage in Ramsey….15% occupancy …!

  12. will be a crack head tower..covered drug dealers market..No safe havens from floor two up..screams might echo across the train plaza..those dam kids again…will be an epic fail

fish newbie business turnover will be great …on OUR DIMES TAXPAYERS..time to sell /
before the cost overruns are bonded into our housing tax basis..idea ADD it to the business permit Tax Rates..

would you send your Daughter or loved one up into that garage one winter evening

    not a chance

  13. Time will tell, o well !

  14. Who is going to do the maintenance at the new garage. Maybe we can hire a security guard .

  15. Who’s going to want to sit at sook and stare at a big chunk of cement, or those resturants at that corner, that’s ugly. Those businesses will actually suffer…. Montclair, Morristown, Westfield… Their garages are a street behind. Oh wait, this garage is actually for out of town commuters but ridgewood residents will pay the taxes for it geeez. Get out people and take the VC with you.

  16. cars cars cars. Cars have RUINED N.J. if not the world. Now there could have, should have, would have, been more public transportation if YOU who are complaining about the garage would have pushed for in your votes and actions. There could have been more local buses instead of cars.
You people are too impatient for local buses. So stop complaining about the garage. The mayor and deputy mayor love it.

Do you realize the Aronsohn and company WON. Their names should be on the plaque. The design team that THEY hired came up with the small design that is being implemented.

  17. Gold shovels?
    Bring your camera?
    Pathetic.
    The worst decision to date.

  18. We have a metro mayor, a public service-rich deputy mayor, a democrat running for higher office, a turncoat and Bernadette on the VC. Yeah, we’re screwed. Bernie couldn’t stop them alone.
