Ridgewood NJ, apparently the homeless man who has been camping out near the old Bobby Knapps pulled a knife on a couple walking in town on Sunday.
He also at one point told a young girl to suck on his , (there were times when if you said that you mouth would be washed out with soap).
Did this person get arrested or is he still on the loose?
Why are there suddenly so many homeless in Ridgewood? Anything to do with all the New Yorkers moving here to escape the cesspool city and bringing their far left wing politics here?
I would take him on a 1-way ride to Pennsylvania….
Even if he was arrested……….it’s no need for bail Jersey.

It certainly appears more than a coincidence that we are seeing more and more of these mentally challenged people in Ridgewood since the BLM parades. Sure, a lot of the people were the young and naive, as well as professional agitators, but they also brought with them a collection of people who were off their meds. I guess some of them decided that they could make a home for themselves in Ridgewood.

There is not an all-of-the-sudden influx of homeless people in Ridgewood. I have worked downtown for two decades. Always been an issue.(And by issue I mean, every so often a few start to hang around until there’s an incident and they got sent to Bergen Pines)
I grew up here. Used to come across campsites in the area behind Hillcrest Rd. Adults would tell us to be careful. Word was that police would pick em up and send them off to the bus station with a free ticket out of town.
There’s always been homeless passing through. You just haven’t noticed them.
Blaming two or three “protests” of a score or so people…..for f’s sake get a hold of yourselves snowflakes

The post office used to be open 24/7 for use of the mail drum and postage kiosk. It was great. Then suddenly they truncated the hours that the door is open. Officially they blamed it on “covid.” REALLY?
The fact is the P.O. had become a place where drugged out homeless were congregating after hours. I’ve been in there many times after hours to mail something only to find the police removing druggies. They finally made them change the hours in an effort to clear the place out.
You’re just going to get more and more of this low standard of living with high taxes if these Dem interlopers get their political way.

The homeless in the post office only appeared relatively recently. They were never there in the past.

I used to go into the Ridgewood Post Office lobby at all hours of the day and night for years and NEVER, not once, saw a homeless person in there. I can see the appeal, though.
