Paramus NJ, The Valley Hospital has officially moved from Ridgewood, New Jersey, to Paramus, New Jersey. The hospital, now located at 4 Valley Health Plaza in Paramus, is now open to provide acute and emergency care to the community.
Patients who were admitted to the previous Ridgewood facility were individually transported by ambulance to the Paramus hospital, located only 2.5 miles away. Patients were transported by OnTime Medical Transportation and accompanied by appropriate members of Valley’s medical staff.
Limited visiting hours will resume at 6 p.m. today and return to normal visitation on Monday, April 15. To learn more, please visit ValleyHealth.com/VisitingHours.
“The Valley Hospital’s move to Paramus marks an exciting new chapter for Valley, BetWinner legal in India. All those who come through our doors starting today will continue to be well served by Valley’s compassionate staff in this outstanding facility for generations to come,” said Audrey Meyers, Chief Executive Officer of Valley Health System. “We thank our patients for entrusting their care to Valley and our staff for all they do to serve and care for our patients, their families, and our community.”
The new hospital project was first announced in 2017, with the groundbreaking taking place on November 1, 2019. A “topping-out” ceremony where the final structural beam was put into place was held in December 2020.
“The Valley Hospital in Paramus is at the heart of a forty-acre health and wellness campus that offers our patients the opportunity to receive virtually every healthcare service they may need in one location, including inpatient care, outpatient procedures, cancer care, the ability to see many of Valley’s doctors and more,” said Robert Brenner, MD, MMM, FACHE, President of Valley Health System.
The new 370-bed, state-of-the-art hospital was built with patients, their loved ones, and Valley staff in mind. Key features of the hospital include single-patient rooms for privacy and healing inclusive of a 75-inch footwall to display key patient details and display entertainment options; single-patient rooms for neonate intensive care unit (NICU) patients; an expanded Emergency Department; an intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) suite; park-like grounds and green roofs; and the latest technology.
“At Valley, we provide patient- and family-centered care, and that is exemplified in the new hospital by the provision of single-patient rooms to enhance patient privacy and provide a superior healing environment,” said Karteek Bhavsar, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Valley Health System.
The former facility, located at 223 North Van Dien Avenue in Ridgewood, will now be known as Valley Health System – Ridgewood Campus, an outpatient healthcare destination providing a variety of services designed to offer convenient care for our community. Services include full-service outpatient laboratory services; outpatient diagnostic imaging; outpatient endoscopy services; Valley’s Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Center; The Valley Breast Center; and The Valley Hospital Community Care Clinic. The Ridgewood Campus will also serve as the home of Valley’s Graduate Medical Education programs.

We see the difference already in traffic in Ridgewood, I will say this they have a lot of extra parking at that location. With talking to local eateries, there is a difference already, less deliveries now less traffic in a cbd. Local food establishments around the new Valley in Paramus are swamped with business. Oh yes. Now I’m waiting for the people to say oh there’s no difference yeah OK.
What local eateries are experiencing a downturn related to their move?
It just but-hurt pro-valley propaganda. Ignore it.
The local ones.
the sanwiches across street at amazon fresh are delicious. Much bigger and better than Kings. And the price is 6.99… and they have daily specials as well
That’s wonderful! Less traffic in RW the better, safer for kids, more convenient for the folk who pay the property taxes in town!
If the CBD wants people to patronize its stores, they’ll get rid of the parking fees and Park mobile. Until then, they are not really serious.
Deli’s from what they told us.
Tedesco missed this picture by 5 minutes!
When seconds matter, driving to the Paramus Emergency Room took an extra 14 minutes this week.
but closer to Schedler
Not from my house. It’s actually closer for a lot of Ridgewoodians.
No surprise there….terrible location for a hospital.
So very true all the stores around the new Valley in Paramus are booming with business, local diners in Paramus are putting additions on. Village restaurants are only busy a few days a week. A friend of mine has a restaurant in the CBT is looking to open up something right around the new hospital. That whole area in Paramus is under redevelopment and UC Paramus. It’s exploding with building people. It’s become the city of Paramus. Oh yes.
