Ridgewood NJ, didn’t we do this in 2016,it was dumb in 2016 and nothing has changed . After watching this video, if you agree that having our tax money spent on converting the Schedler property to a baseball field is a dumb idea, please let our Village Council know by email:

WOW!
My daughter practiced at ‘North Field’ in Ho Ho Kus which directly abuts Rt. 17 South near Hollywood Ave. It was so loud on the field, it was difficult to hear the coaches, or even another kid standing right next to you. This was a practice field only, there were no games held at this location. There is a sound barrier from a thick barrier of trees however it was still a nightmare to hear. I can’t image it in a game situation. North Field is currently set up as a baseball practice field, so one might want to spend some time scoping out the existing field on the Ho Ho Kus side of Rt 17 before going this route. Access to the field is from Lakewood Ave, there is a walkway through the woods. The neighbors don’t like parking in front of their houses, by the way so there is also that issue. Whatever is developed there should have adequate parking to alleviate this concern for the neighbors. I do feel the land should be developed into homes or something rather than a dumpy old ‘historic’ house.
Park at Lloyd school and walk over.
You got any other questions for me ?
where is Lloyd school?
That video was good.
The RBSA is being used by the soccer cabal. 300′ down the left and right field lines is a check swing with aluminum bats.
I remember when Fast Eddie tried to take over Hawes…some 30 years ago.
These guys never quit. They have dinner at Greek to Me and think of ways to improve the fields in town.
The schools on Lloyd Road off of Hollywood Avenue. And then there’s a big field at that intersection , look left at the light there’s a big field right before Route 17 and Hollywood Avenue.
Schedler is a bit of hike from Hollywood Ave
Not really … I jump the R17 divider all the time when I walk my ocelot.
Hawes Neighborhood beware. Siobhan has shifted focus to 90Ft at Lower Hawes! Watch Feb 1. Meeting
They’ve been gunning for Hawes for over 30 years.
Siobhan will get run over by us. We won’t allow it.
1/2 mile . To Ho-ho-kus . Who is going to maintain all this property. Village departments are short on staffing now. They can’t even fill part time openings in yard waste department.
lower hawes is a 60 / 90 field. its in awful shape but fields the older teams in rec and travel baseball
Schedler Tract sits between an Off-Ramp from Rt-17 North where traffic is traveling a minimum of 55 MPH and Rt-17 itself.
Field traffic will be almost stopped when turning into the tract or when parking on West Saddle River Road itself, with people, mostly children, crossing this ramp road with no sidewalks or crosswalks to get to the field where there are only 20 parking spots. All of this will be exposed to hi-speed ramp traffic. What could go wrong? This situation is dangerous on its’ face….
