Ridgewood NJ, the federal government is spending billions of dollars to promote electric vehicles, but most Americans still don’t consider them practical.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that only 28% of American Adults believe electric cars today are practical for most drivers. Fifty-four percent (54%) think electric cars aren’t practical, while 18% say they’re not sure. Those findings are little changed from March. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

  1. Imagine owning an electric car *coal powered* and being told not to charge during certain hours as is now the case in California (the home of rolling blackouts)
We have an outdated electrical grid and thanks to the ‘no-nukes’ freaks we have insufficient power.
Logic would dictate before you kill the reliable fossile fuel industry that you have a reliable nuclear replacement in place FIRST.
But you can’t talk logic to these nut cases.

  2. But they are so clean. You charge them up at charging stations where the electricity comes from some magical place in the sky. Sort of like these acres of solar panels with about 10 years of life expectancy. All of it will need to be sent to landfills.

  3. Liberals truly are idiots.

    It’s Settled Science.

    1. Liberals will tell you that its entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

  4. Replacement batteries cost $29K.

Think about that for a minute.

    1. not to mention the “environmental impact” of disposal….
Liberals are unable to apply sound logic to their policies.
