PARMAUS NJ, The National Guard is sending help to the New Jersey Veterans’ Home at Paramus where 10 residents have died from the coronavirus. The National Guard is sending combat medics and EMTs are among the 40 Guard members who were sent to help. Currently over 20 residents are battling the virus, and nearly 20 staff have also been infected.
A long with Paramus the state’s three veteran homes have also been affected by the coronavirus, particularly the facility in Paramus, which reported 40 cases. In total, veteran homes have 58 positive cases and 13 deaths.
