Newark NJ, during a recent tour of duty, New Jersey Transit Police Officers Castillo, Tejada, and Sergeant Krause were protecting travel surrounding Newark Penn Station. They were approached by detectives who shared information and a description of a subject wanted by Newark PD. The subject was wanted for multiple serious offenses.

Shortly thereafter, observant Officer Castillo spotted the wanted subject entering the Penn Station main concourse. She called for backup and detained the subject along with Tejada and Sgt. Krause. Newark PD responded, confirmed the subject was located and took him into custody.
The quick actions by these officers helped ensure a safe apprehension and safety for the community. Great work District 2!
