Ridgewood NJ, have you recently updated your iPhone? If so, there is a new feature that can quickly share your info. The feature is called NameDrop and can be used to share your contact information with others in close proximity. This could include your photo, name, birthday, phone number, email address or more with just a few taps.

NameDrop is automatically set to ON. Although you can expect to see a prompt to allow sharing, you might allow unintentionally. To protect your info, you may want to turn NameDrop off. ESPECIALLY on your child’s phone. We recommend choosing to share information manually.
To disable NameDrop, go to the iPhone’s Settings app, select the General tab, then the AirDrop tab, and then toggle the “Bringing Devices Together” option off.
