Demarest NJ, this year, the Academy of the Holy Angels Christmas Concert infused seasonal favorites with a very special finale. Held at Saint Mary’s Church in Dumont (while the auditorium renovations continued), the festivities began with Caccini’s “Ave Maria,” an anticipated annual staple. Concertmaster Faith Youn (’23) played the violin solo as the chorus processed up the aisle, candles in hand.

Founded by the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1879, Holy Angels is Bergen County, New Jersey’s oldest private all-girl school. While AHA is steeped in Catholic tradition, this prestigious school serves young women from many backgrounds. A high percentage of Angels earn acceptance into their first-choice colleges and universities. As a class, AHA seniors receive millions of dollars in scholarships to fund their undergraduate studies.
Demarest NJ, The savvy students from Angels for Veterans and the Academy of the Holy Angels Basketball Team used a dress down opportunity to raise funds for Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon, Inc. and Beyond Borders. The two groups developed and cohosted Socks for Soldiers, which allowed students to wear “crazy socks” to school in exchange for a $2 donation.

Demarest NJ, in June 2020, Academy of the Holy Angels junior Hannah Kim established 5/15 Collection, a custom clothing business with a social conscience. The Cresskill teen uses her venture to raise awareness for various causes, and donates a portion of her proceeds to support positive change.
Demarest, NJ: On March 25, Academy of the Holy Angels students who demonstrate outstanding work in mathematics and the sciences were welcomed into Mu Alpha Theta and the Science National Honor Society. Inductees are examples of Angels who take full advantage of AHA’s award-winning, nationally recognized STEAM curriculum, which emphasizes science, technology, religion, engineering, art, and math.
