After a disasterous and  turbulent two-year tenure marked by internal challenges, epic failure at the ballot box  and a lack of recruitment, Jack DeLorenzo has announced he will not seek re-election as the Chairman of the Bergen County Republican Organization (BCRO) this June.

Hackensack NJ, in the political annals of New Jersey politics, the Bergen County Republican Organization (BCRO) has become the embodiment of nearly two decades of failure. It’s clear that the mission of this once great organization, has now regressed to stand for something entirely different: retribution, retaliation and a predictable measure of vindictiveness more reflective of a scene out of “Mean Girls” than an organization charged with overseeing the largest county in New Jersey.

Pressure Mounts on Bergen County Republican Organization Chair to Resign

Hackensack NJ, after mounting election failures the pressure continues to build on BCRO Chairman Jack Zisa to resign .  The Save Jersey Blog is reporting that , “The hard-charging LD38 GOP ticket fell short of its goal last week by about 5,000 votes, but two of its candidates think the campaign may need to continue. This time, saving the long-declining BCRO from itself may be the new aim. Save Jersey has learned that retired Bergen deli tycoon Barry Wilkes and businesswoman Micheline Attieh are actively considering a run for BCRO chair and vice chair, respectively, ahead of next year’s chairman’s election.”

Meet New Jersey’s Youngest Elected official, Robert Fisher Park Ridge Board of Education

Park Ridge NJ, with the ink barely dry on his high school diploma, a political activist from Bergen County will serve on the board that governs the school district he just graduated from. Robert Fisher, an 18-year-old trailblazer, has gained notoriety in Bergen County as the former Field Director for Senator Holly Schepisi (R-River Vale) and the youngest member of the Bergen County Republican Organization (BCRO)’s policy committee. He is one of three candidates running for the three seats of the Park Ridge Board of Education this fall and will succeed retiring members Deborah Clare and Lauren Sum. He is unopposed for the office, along with incumbent Natalie Agoos and newcomer Rachelle Browne. Fisher says he is eager to serve on the board but wants to make systemic changes to a school district he believes is failing students.

While Republicans picked up seats in the 2020 election all over New Jersey ,the Bergen GOP stumbled and it would seem that winning Republican candidates in Bergen were those that distanced themselves from the Bergen County Republican organization . Lets face it if Republicans don’t win big this year , the Bergen GOP should just disband .

Hackensack NJ,  Paul DiGaetano continues to reshape the Bergen County Republican Organization (BCRO). Once again reaching for youth DiGaetano has picked Bergen County Young Republicans Treasurer Carlo Ghione to become the new interim Executive Director of the Bergen County Republican Organization (BCRO).

Ghione  24 ,is currently pursuing a law degree at New York Law School, will serve as interim executive director through at least November’s general election. Ghione will be in the office daily and focus on communications and digital platforms.
