Lung Association: Elevated Levels of Cancer-Causing Radon Gas Detected in Nearly 10% of New Jersey Homes

Ringwood NJ,  Radon remains the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States and the latest American Lung Association “State of Lung Cancer” report reveals that in New Jersey 9.8%% of radon test results equal or exceed the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) action level of 4 pCi/L. During January for National Radon Action Month, the Lung Association in New Jersey strongly urges all residents to test their home for radon and take immediate steps to mitigate the threat if high levels are found.

Lung Association Report: High Levels of Cancer-Causing Radon Gas Detected in about 10% of New Jersey Homes

Trenton NJ,  Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer and the “State of Lung Cancer” report reveals that it is detected at high levels in about 10% of homes in New Jersey. During January for National Radon Action Month, the American Lung Association in New Jersey is urging everyone to help save lives by testing their home for radon and mitigating if high levels are detected.
