Last Call for Commonsense

by Joshua Sotomayor-Einstein

The gubernatorial election ending when polls close Tuesday evening on November 2nd is not about right versus left or Republican versus Democrat. This election is about whether we will be governed by commonsense or by out-of-touch extremism. Gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli has been an advocate for NJ families, working and middle class residents, taxpayers, job growth, and freedom for New Jerseyans of all races, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Phil Murphy, the disastrous incumbent governor, has pursued policies which have killed 8,000 nursing home residents, increased the cost of living on working and middle class New Jerseyan’s, and has been busy destroying over 1/3 of NJ small businesses and the state economy.

Golds Gym in Paramus Closes After 28 Years

119993370 10158484492554985 6943308986441531611 n

To our Gold’s Gym Paramus Family,

It is with tremendous sadness to announce that after 28 years we will be closing our doors at Gold’s Gym Paramus on Tuesday, November 3rd at 8pm. We are heartbroken to have to make this decision as we worked very hard to get back open after an unprecedented 6 month shutdown. It was great to be able to open back up and help people again for the past 2 months but at this time we are regrettably unable to continue operating any longer.
While we are filled with a wide range of many emotions we choose to celebrate what was an amazing 28 years with the greatest staff, members and community anyone could ever ask for! We look back with pride and gratitude at the thousands of lives we have touched, the results our members have achieved and the many friendships that were made at the gym. We are especially proud of the community service and charity work we were able to perform as giving back to our community was always one of our top priorities from the day we opened our doors. We have always wanted to be known as a gym that makes a difference and we certainly hope that we were able to accomplish that goal and make a difference in your life.

David L. Chandler | MIT News Office

One of the most pressing shortages facing hospitals during the Covid-19 emergency is a lack of ventilators. These machines can keep patients breathing when they no longer can on their own, and they can cost around $30,000 each. Now, a rapidly assembled volunteer team of engineers, physicians, computer scientists, and others, centered at MIT, is working to implement a safe, inexpensive alternative for emergency use, which could be built quickly around the world.
