Saddle River NJ, the borough of Saddle River is suspending its controversial deer culling program after five years, it was the only such program in Bergen County. The Borough council approved a wildlife management plan in 2018 aimed at reducing its burgeoning deer population through “culling” during the deer hunting season from September to February. The ordinance also allowed the killing of coyotes that hunters come across during their deer hunts.
