Ridgewood NJ, The third in a series of art exhibits showcasing work done in class.
Artwork will be on view daily from 11am-3pm January 7th till January 25th, 2019

Charles Brandenburg teaches Fundamentals of Watercolor The Basic Techniques, Problem Solving, Design and Composition for adults, Tuesday evenings. Brandenburg studied at the Famous Artist School of Westport, Connecticut. His appreciation of fine arts led him to study with Arthur Maynard and Allan Avery at the Ridgewood Art Institute in oils and watercolor.

Diana K. Gibson is a painter of the traditional manner. Artist model turned artist, she studied and apprenticed with master painter and teacher, John Phillip Osborne. Shortly after receiving her formal art training, she became an instructor at the Ridgewood Art Institute teaching traditional oil painting to teenagers and young adults. Presently she teaches classes to adults, young adults and teens.

Students of Charles Brandenberg and Diana Gibson have been invited to submit three framed pieces of artwork for the first in a series of exhibits, showcasing student work done in classes here at the Ridgewood Art Institute. Students enrolled in both classes, may have submitted up to three pieces for EACH class. Also represented, are works by the instructors themselves. All levels of expertise will be represented, as classes at the Art Institute are taught on an individual basis and each student is taught in direct relation to their personal skill level. Work will either be offered for sale, or not. This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to see the beautiful work that is being generated here at the Ridgewoood Art Institute.
