East Rutherford NJ, at approximately 1:30 PM, October 28th the Hackensack Fire Department Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Rescue, in collaboration with several UASI Fire Departments, demonstrated exceptional teamwork and expertise in response to a building collapse incident at 170 Union Street, East Rutherford. The coordinated effort resulted in the successful rescue of a heavily entrapped victim.

East Rutherford Fire Department respond to Route 17 Car Fire

East Rutherford NJ, on Thursday afternoon members of the East Rutherford Fire Department responded to Route 17 near Union Avenue for a vehicle fire. The word is that alert motorist alerted the driver that the car was on fire and got her to get out of the car. no injuries reported .

Truck Fire Shuts Down Route 17 North Bound on Friday in East Rutherford

East Rutherford NJ, East Rutherford Fire Department tackled a tractor trailer fire on Route 17 North on Friday . Route 17 north bound lanes were temporarily shut down.  No injuries were repotted. Will update as more information become available.

Multiple Truck Fire Closes Route 120 in East Rutherford

East Rutherford NJ, just before 2pm, the East Rutherford Fire Department was dispatched to 288 Paterson Plank Road for a report of multiple trucks on fire. Arriving units found three tractors with attached trailers well involved and worked quickly to extinguish the fire. Route 120 was temporarily closed to allow for a water supply line to be established.

East Rutherford Fire Department : First incident of the New Year

East Rutherford NJ, in what East Rutherford Fire Department is calling the first incident of the New Year,  at 230 am January 1st , East Rutherford Fire Department responded to an accident at Al Di La, a restaurant on Hoboken Road and Enoch Street.  The vehicle, a Dodge pickup, had crashed through the wall and into the restaurant .

5am Fire at “Big Snow” at the American Dream Mall Activates Meadowlands Fire Plan

East Rutherford NJ, East Rutherford Fire Department reports that just before 5:00am, the East Rutherford Fire Department was requested to assist the Meadowlands Fire Department for a fire at Big Snow within the American Dream. Due to the size of the building, extensive roof operations and a stubborn body of “cold smoke,” the Meadowlands fire plan was activated bringing fire departments from throughout Bergen County to the scene to assist. Wood Ridge Fire Department responded at 05:20 a response to “Big Snow” at the American Dream Mall in the Borough of East Rutherford for a Building Fire. Engine 905 responded and working with several of the surrounding towns extinguished the fire and ensured there was no further extension. Lyndhurst, Secaucus, Mahwah, Moonachie, Rochelle Park, Saddle Brook, Wallington, and Jersey City Fire Departments all assisted .

East Rutherford Fire Fighters Battle Two Alarm Fire Near MetLife Stadium

East Rutherford NJ, the East Rutherford Fire Department answered a two alarm brush fire off of Madison Circle Drive , near Metlife Stadium . The National Weather Service had issued a wind advisory in effect for the metro New York area from 8 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday with gusts up to 50 mph at times and the high winds quickly fanned the fire .
