Hackensack NJ, earlier this week Attorney General Matthew Platkin announced his office will  be ensuring election integrity by addressing voting rights or civil rights  violations. Just hours later, the Bergen County Democrats nominated Thomas  Padilla to the Bergen County Board of Elections. The appointment is ultimately  made by Governor Phil Murphy.

Election Integrity: 61% Say Issue Is Very Important

Ridgewood NJ, preventing cheating in elections is a priority for voters, who expect the issue to be important in next month’s midterm elections.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 84% of Likely U.S. voters believe the issue of election integrity will be important in this year’s congressional elections, including 61% who expect it to be Very Important. Just 13% don’t think the issue will be important. In August, 80% of voters expected election integrity to be an important issue in the midterms. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Election Integrity: 74% Of Voters Support Photo ID Requirement

Ridgewood NJ, Voters overwhelmingly believe it’s important to prevent cheating in elections and agree that requiring photo identification is a reasonable measure to ensure election integrity.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 90% of Likely U.S. Voters think it is important to prevent cheating in elections, including 79% who say it’s Very Important. Only seven percent (7%) of voters believe it’s not important to prevent election cheating. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Ridgewood NJ, despite all the media hyperbole according to the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that just 29% of Likely U.S. Voters say laws requiring photo identification at the polls discriminate against some voters. Sixty-two percent (62%) say voter ID laws don’t discriminate. (To see survey question wording, click here.)Most voters say it’s more important to prevent cheating in elections than to make it easier to vote and, by more than a two-to-one margin, they reject claims that voter ID laws are discriminatory.
