Ridgewood NJ, a routine Wednesday morning in Fair Lawn, NJ, was interrupted by a dramatic motor vehicle accident requiring a multi-agency rescue effort. On December 10, 2025, a white-colored Toyota RAV4 was involved in a serious rollover crash at the intersection of Cedar Street and Central Avenue.
FAIR LAWN, NJ — September 3, 2025 — A powerful crash at the intersection of Berkshire Road and Plaza Road in Fair Lawn sent two people to the hospital on Wednesday morning.
FAIR LAWN, NJ — Two serious T-bone motor vehicle crashes occurred within just one hour and less than half a mile apart in Fair Lawn on Friday evening, August 8, leaving six people injured, including a young child. Authorities say at least five of the victims were hospitalized, with some requiring emergency extrication using the Jaws of Life.

Fair Lawn NJ, late Thursday evening, July 11, a tragic road rage incident on Berdan Avenue in Fair Lawn escalated into violence when an elderly male passenger from one of the involved vehicles exited to speak to the other driver and was allegedly run over intentionally. The victim sustained serious injuries and was rushed by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. Fair Lawn EMS, assisted by a paramedic team from The Valley Hospital, provided emergency medical care on the scene.
Fair Lawn NJ, a three (3) vehicle Sunday morning, 05/05, collision at the intersection of Fair Lawn Avenue and 4th Street, Fair Lawn sent two (2) victims to hospitals in separate ambulances, and heavily damaged two (2) of the vehicles involved. A flatbed tow truck hauled away both of the wrecked cars. Fair Lawn Police and Fair Lawn EMS responded to the incident, which was captured in its entirely by a nearby traffic camera.
Fair Lawn NJ, a flatbed truck carrying lumber to a job site, slammed into a guard rail on Plaza Road, Fair Lawn, dumping its entire load in the process. The mid Monday afternoon, 12/18, crash injured the truck’s driver, who was transported by a Fair Lawn EMS ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. A team of lumber company employees cleared the mess with the help of a large fork lift. The truck itself was removed from the scene by a heavy duty wrecker. Fair Lawn Police investigated the mishap.
Fair Lawn NJ, a horrific single-vehicle crash near 21-00 Route 208 in Fair Lawn claimed a Porsche Boxer driver’s life in the early evening of Thanksgiving Day, 11/23. The vehicle struck a utility pole while traveling southbound on Route 208 just after 5:30 PM. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Route 208 southbound was closed at Harristown Road in Glen Rock for several hours following the tragedy. Fair Lawn Police was assisted by several County of Bergen agencies with the crash investigation. Glen Rock Police units provided supplemental traffic control. Fair Lawn Fire Companies #1 and #2 responded to the incident along with the Fair Lawn Rescue Squad and Fair Lawn EMS.
Fair Lawn NJ, Fair Lawn Police, Fair Lawn EMS, Fair Lawn Fire Company #3, and Fair Lawn Heavy Rescue all responded to a Monday evening, 08/21, rollover crash in the 2600 block of Broadway eastbound. Fair Lawn EMS transported at least two (2) victims to a local hospital for treatment. None of the injuries appeared to have been life-threatening in nature. The rolled over 4-door sedan involved in the crash was righted and towed from the scene. Police received a report that a red SUV that fled the area may have also been involved in the incident. A crash related fluid spill was mitigated by members of the Rescue Squad. Broadway eastbound was closed between Plaza Road and 27th Street while emergency responders and tow truck operators worked at the scene.
Fair Lawn NJ, the driver of a 4-door Honda Accord sustained non-life threatening injuries after crashing into a utility pole late Friday afternoon, 08/11, on Midland Avenue in Fair Lawn. Fair Lawn EMS transported the victim to a local hospital. A utility pole downed in the crash blocked Midland Avenue in both directions for an extended period. Fair Lawn Police and Fair Lawn EMS responded to the incident along with repair crews from PSE&G’s Electric Division and Verizon. The Honda was towed from the scene.
