Oakland NJ, Borough of Oakland Police Department report that on March 7th at approximately 2am, several US Post Office collection boxes were broken into and all of the contents inside were stolen. The collection boxes broken into were the two in front of the Oakland branch of the US Post Office, the box at the intersection of Rutgers Drive and Franklin Avenue, and the box at 107 Bauer Drive. If the checks were already cashed, follow up with the individual or company the check was written to in order to be sure they actually received the payment and not the offender(s) involved in the thefts.
