The Pavilion at Habernickel Park in Ridgewood is Nearing Completion

Ridgewood NJ, according to the Village Manager Keith Kazmark,  the pavilion at Habernickel Park is nearing completion. This gathering space in the park will provide shelter from both sun and rain. The Village manager went on in a Facebook post saying , “We already have inquiries from community groups and residents alike as to when it will be open to the public. Expect a grand opening this May!”

On August 31st we reported  that a new sign had sprung up at the historic Zabriskie-Schedler Property from Matrix New World an environmental engineering firm hired by the Village to test all the “free soil” dumped on the property to create the berm .

Ridgewood Nonprofit Pushes For Ida Relief Volunteers

Ridgewood NJ, the economic and human impact of New Jersey’s “Sustain and Serve” grant program proved to be an essential lifeline for Ridgewood restaurants and people facing food insecurity in Bergen County. With the rise in the Delta variant and now the devastating flooding caused by Ida, the need for relief and volunteers is even more urgent. With the second round of the state’s $2 million grant to the HealthBarn Foundation for the “Feed The Frontlines Initiative” – the program starts this week delivering 500 meals daily  to Englewood seniors and families impacted by Ida and will then, fold into the full distribution to Bergen County pantries, including Englewood’s Bergen Family Center beginning September 20, 2021.

Ridgewood NJ, are the supporters of Healthbarn concerned if the lease doesn’t get renewed Stacey Antine will no longer do good for Ridgewood through her Foundation?  That is not what the lease is about it is about Healthbarn USA a private for profit business.   Healthbarn foundation is headquartered in Lyndhust.  So why does every thing written about Healthbarn talk mainly about the foundation not about her classes going on in the park?

Reader says Heather needs to take a daily trip at different times of the day instead of believing what Stacey tells her

I would like to see a copy of the lease and actually see what is permitted. Heather needs to take a daily trip at different times of the day instead of believing what Stacey tells her. And since her lease clearly does not have a clause permitting evening drinking parties (How does THAT connect with teaching children healthy living?) Do they pay for permits? Provide insurance to cover uses outside of their original lease? She may have a good idea for a business but not on town owned property. We provide every possible service to her free of charge. If it was not located there she would have to pay for water, electricity for outside lights as well as inside the house, grounds upkeep, etc, etc. All of this she gets for free. We need some camera toting people to photograph the buses, town workers doing everything on her property, and evening parties. I always thought Heather was astute and intelligent but she seems to have been brainwashed by someone on this subject!
