Ridgewood NJ, Village Manager Heather A. Mailander offers a reminder that Tuesday, October 13, 2020 is the last day for residents to register to vote for the November 3, 2020 Presidential General Election in the State of New Jersey.  At the Presidential General Election, voters will cast ballots for President of the United States, U.S. Senate, U.S. Congress, Bergen County Freeholders as well as State and Municipal Public Questions. It is up to each and every American Citizen to exercise their right to vote.

Ridgewood NJ, Updated Primary Election information:  The Primary Election will be held on July 7, 2020 and will be conducted by mail-in ballot and by voting in a few polling places for those with disabilities.  If you have a disability and need an accessible ballot, please contact the County at (201) 336-7020 or you may go to your assigned polling place, which will provide access to an in-person accessible voting device on Primary Election Day.  If you do not have a disability and you choose not to vote on a Mail-In Ballot and show up to one of the limited number of Polling Places on Election Day, only Provisional Paper Ballots will be available to cast your vote. The ADA compliant Voting Machine is only for voters who have a disability.

Vote By Mail: 19% of votes in Paterson City Council election are disqualified

Paterson NJ,Governor Phil Murphy announced his decision that the election he already postponed until July 7 will be conducted primarily by mail, with most registered Democrats and Republicans automatically getting a ballot and everyone else registered receiving an application for a mail-in ballot. What could possibly go wrong?

County Clerk Advises Voters of New Statewide Vote by Mail Law which will affect the November General Election

FREEHOLD NJ , Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon is advising residents that a new law signed by Governor Phil Murphy in August dramatically changed the Vote by Mail rules in New Jersey. These changes are effective immediately and will impact the November General Election. The advice rings true for Bergen County as well.
