Ridgewood NJ, in Ridgewood, NJ, there’s been an ongoing issue with Village Taxi that raises eyebrows. Despite closing their office at the train station and ceasing to pay rent to the Village years ago, their advertisement remains prominently displayed. This has left many residents wondering why.

The Conservancy for Ridgewood Public Lands Updates the Plantings on North Broad

Ridgewood NJ, according to the Conservancy for Ridgewood Public Lands website a  small but dedicated group of residents met with the Village Manager in the Spring of 2011 to discuss the poor condition of the Village’s parks and other green areas within the Village. It was determined that because of budget cuts, the parks were not being maintained to the level that they had been in the past.

SUV Involved In an Accident at the Train Trestle Rolls Into a Ridgewood Police Cruiser

Ridgewood NJ, an unoccupied BMW X1 SUV that had been involved in a early Thursday afternoon, 07/21, two (2) vehicle collision at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and North Broad Street, Ridgewood, rolled into an unoccupied Ridgewood Police marked patrol vehicle that had responded to the incident. The BMW was towed from the scene; the patrol vehicle was driven away on its own power, but removed from service until repairs are made. No injuries were reported by any individuals who were involved in the initial collision.

Ridgewood Central Business District offers 15-minute complimentary parking spaces

Ridgewood NJ, The Central Business District will has several 15-minute complimentary parking spaces on Oak Street, Chestnut Street, North Broad Street, off of East Ridgewood Avenue, and Wilsey Square on the west side. These parking spaces are limited to 15 minutes only, are free of charge to everyone, and are to be used to do a quick errand or pick up food or visit a business. Please be advised that if you are parked in these spaces longer than 15 minutes, you may receive a parking summons. These spaces have been generously sponsored by several local businesses, which are acknowledged on the 15-minute parking signs. We encourage you to stay longer in the Central Business District by parking in one of our many lots or the Hudson Street parking garage (at $1/hour), and there is also on-street parking available (at $1.25/hour).

Women Assulted at Ridgewood Business

Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Police report that on October 22nd, Patrol units responded to North Broad Street on a report of an assault. Upon arrival the victim reported she was attempting to secure the front door of the business at 1930hrs. When a male approached her and assaulted her. The victim provided a description and patrol began to check the area. A male party was located matching the description and identified as the actor by the victim. Patrol then arrested the 25 year-old male from Waldwick, N.J. The arrestee was transported to Ridgewood Police headquarters, where he was served with a criminal complaint for simple assault and advised of his court date. He then was transported to New Bridge Hospital and admitted into the emergency room under A.T.R.A.
All actors are presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
