Ridgewood NJ, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, on Thursday, November 9th ,reported the rectory and youth ministry offices suffered an internet outage . Because of the internet outage, the live-streaming of their daily masses was also affected. Meaning you could not view the live-streaming of masses on any of the three platforms (Facebook, parish website or the parish Youtube page.) until the internet is restored.
Ridgewood NJ, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Ridgewood, held a FROZEN TURKEY & FOOD DRIVE this Saturday, November 4th – 9am to 12noon.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church was looking for 15 frozen turkey breasts for the seniors at Ridgecrest. Fr. English Center, Paterson (one of OLMC recipients) feeds 20,000 people each month! This year volunteers collected 104 turkeys and 40 turkey breasts.
Ridgewood NJ, almost a record… but not quite! Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church youth group open center had 103 teenagers! It might be a record for the highest number of teens this early in a school year.
The record to beat is 127, dating back to February 2018. If things continue as they are, I think we will break the record this program year!
Ridgewood NJ, on September 6th , Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church held its first “Wednesday Open Center” for our youth group. 53 teenagers were present! We even had several new comers from the Class of 2027! Open Center is held every Wednesday night for all high school teens 7:30-9pm. The youth center is located in the school building. ( Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 1 Passaic St. Ridgewood ) .

Ridgewood NJ, less than one week from today, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, is Ridgewood, will host the 5th Annual CATHOLIC COLLEGE NIGHT will take place in our parish center. MONDAY, MAY 15TH 6-8PM. As of this posting, THIRTY Catholic colleges and universities will have representatives present to talk with perspective students and their parents.

Ridgewood NJ, on Saturday morning families from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Jr. High Program distributed the Easter baskets donated by parish members to the families at the Father English Food Pantry. Because of overwhelming generosity, it took SEVEN vehicles to get all the baskets to the pantry!!! Over 230 baskets!!! Thank you for everyone who helped make Easter so special for the children at Father English! The Father English Food Pantry is located in the heart of Paterson, serving those most in need.

Ridgewood NJ, former Ridgewood Mayor Patrick (Pat) A. Mancuso dies at 84, known for his cigar smoking and meeting and greeting residents and merchants walking up and down East Ridgewood Avenue . Pat was husband of Marie S. Mancuso, he passed away Friday, October 28, 2022 at Embrace Hospice House.A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 3, 2022, at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 2nd at McMillan-Small Funeral Home in Myrtle Beach.
