Ridgewood NJ, the following important information about the November 2, 2021 General Election.

Bergen County is looking for additional registered voters to serve as poll workers. The hours are 5:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on November 2, 2021, and the pay is $300 for the day. If you are interested, please call the Bergen County Board of Elections at 201-336-6225.

New Jersey’s Poll Workers Will See a Pay Raise for the November 2021 General Election

Ridgewood NJ, after mounting pressure from legislative leaders,  Governor Phil Murphy today signed Executive Order No. 266, which will increase the pay for New Jersey’s poll workers from $200 to $300 for Election Day, and increase pay during the early voting period by a commensurate hourly rate, to incentivize poll worker participation during the early voting period as well as Election Day in this year’s general election. Today’s Order also waives the restriction that limits poll workers to serving only within the county in which they reside.

TRUMP CAMPAIGN FILES SUIT ON REJECTED VOTES IN ARIZONA

Washington DC, President Trump’s re-election campaign and the Republican National Committee today filed a lawsuit in Arizona alleging that Maricopa County incorrectly rejected votes cast by in-person voters on Election Day. When a machine detects an overvote on a ballot, poll workers should inform in-person voters of the error and give them an opportunity to correct the issue. Instead, poll workers in Maricopa County pressed, and told voters to press, a green button to override the error. As a result, the machines disregarded the voter’s choices in the overvoted races. The campaign has collected declarations from voters who witnessed the problem and alleges that the problem occurred on a large scale in Maricopa County.  Voters can submit additional declarations at DontTouchTheGreenButton.com.
