Reader says Ridgewood Police Presence at Candle Light Vigil caused more tension

"Anti Hatred/Anti Violence" Candlelight vigil held at the Emmanuel Baptist Church

Ridgewood Police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke personally supervised all uniformed and plainclothes officers who were assigned to provide security at an “Anti Hatred/Anti Violence”

Chief of Police supervises the Police Department at the vigil?? What could possibly happen in a vigil with 50-100 people where all think alike?! Why dramatize a simple event and in the process cause more tension than necessary? Ironically the event is supposed to ease tensions.

Just which American Citizens will be the targeted ones to pay the reparations?

RE: Pro Cop Killer Joanne Chesimard Group Pays a Visit to Ridgewood

I am curious, Just which American Citizens will be the targeted ones to pay the reparations? Everone? Including them? Just those in the Southern States who did the enslavement? Just the ones the POP decides are the enslavers?  As a family member of emancipated Afro-Americans in Ridgewood pre-Civil War and a grand-father of Afro-American grandchildren, and vocal advocate in the face of the sitting governing bodies in New Jersey to save the Zabriskie Tenant House which was razed to the ground effectively erasing the history of our part of American that fought to preserve the dignity and equal status of our brothers and sisters from Africa. I am just wondering who is it they are singling out? Dear POP seen you coming for 60 years and Martin Luther King, Macolm X, and ALL the Black Panthers got my back….who got yours?

Sincerely, Peter Zabriskie
