Ridgewood NJ, on Tuesday , Congressman Josh Gottheimer came to Travel School in Ridgewood to announce $176,000 in infrastructure funding for the planning and engineering of new sidewalks through the NJ Safe Routes to School Program.

Ridgewood NJ, Yes. You read it right brothers & sisters. Ridgewood Mayor Paul Vagianos referred to the well documented, notarized, $47K mortgage note he holds on the Brooks/Price residence in Ridgewood, a copy of which is on file at the Bergen County Clerk’s Office, as an “alleged loan.” “Alleged?” Huh? Really Mr. Vagianos? And our mayor has the chutzpah to say this in a crowded meeting room while live on camera. What else can we say here? The man is unbelievable. Good grief!

Ridgewood NJ, on Wednesday September 6 at the Village Council Workshop, Councilwoman Lorraine Reynolds expressed her concerns that Peter Primavera’s contract is being extended (more $$$).  She mentioned the myriad contradictions on his resume that have been brought forth by residents who investigated the seemingly fictitious claims on his “resume.”  To this, Mayor Vagianos responded, “…I don’t know anything about that allegation.”  Seriously.

Ethics violation? – Did Ridgewood Councilman (now mayor) use a private e-mail address to conduct official business?

Ridgewood NJ, Correspondence recently obtained via an Open Public Records Act request reveals that Ridgewood Mayor Paul Vagianos may have used a private e-mail address to initiate communication with Historic Preservation Specialist Peter Primavera in November of 2022. Mr. Vagianos was a Ridgewood Councilman at that time; he was appointed mayor in January of 2023. The correspondence, Mr. Primavera’s reply to the then Councilman’s request for information indicates an e-mail address provided by Mr. Vagianos was: igth4@aol.com.

Ridgewood may spend $100k to build a sidewalk to nowhere? – Ridgewood’s Mayor thinks it’s a good idea – We disagree

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Mayor Paul Vagianos recently balked at a $300k plan to complete a pedestrian safety/sidewalk installation project (approximately 1200 feet of sidewalk) on the south side of West Glen Avenue between North Monroe Street and S Hill Road. Instead, the Mayor has proposed spending $100k to extend the existing sidewalk by only 400 feet, which would result in its termination mid-block on West Glen Avenue, between North Monroe and S Hill Road.
