The Mayor stated as part of the Village’s ongoing efforts to enhance our parks, improvement projects are planned for Habernickel Park and the Schedler property. During preparations for these projects, we discovered that both sites have areas of contaminated soil.

Ridgewood NJ, on Wednesday September 6 at the Village Council Workshop, Councilwoman Lorraine Reynolds expressed her concerns that Peter Primavera’s contract is being extended (more $$$). She mentioned the myriad contradictions on his resume that have been brought forth by residents who investigated the seemingly fictitious claims on his “resume.” To this, Mayor Vagianos responded, “…I don’t know anything about that allegation.” Seriously.

Ridgewood NJ, Correspondence recently obtained via an Open Public Records Act request reveals that Ridgewood Mayor Paul Vagianos may have used a private e-mail address to initiate communication with Historic Preservation Specialist Peter Primavera in November of 2022. Mr. Vagianos was a Ridgewood Councilman at that time; he was appointed mayor in January of 2023. The correspondence, Mr. Primavera’s reply to the then Councilman’s request for information indicates an e-mail address provided by Mr. Vagianos was: igth4@aol.com.
