Ridgewood NJ, Somerville residents…the Ridgewood Shade Tree Commission invites you to adopt a sapling! There are only two requirements for participation: 1) agree to have a sapling of about five feet planted on the right of way area in front of your home, and 2) commit to filling a donut watering bag once a week, or twice a week in extreme heat, for about two years. Village Manager Joins Monday’s Ridgewood Central Business District Clean Up

Ridgewood NJ, on Monday a group of volunteers, led by members of the Ridgewood Shade Tree Commission, hit the streets of Ridgewood ‘s Central Business District  to weed and clean up litter downtown. The group of volunteers was joined by the Village Manager Keith Kazmark. Ridgewood High School students ; Alex, Travis, Jack and Henry were a huge help, along with all who lent a helping hand.

Ridgewood Council Plots to clear cut over 200 trees at Schedler Park while Conducting Tree Inventory of the Village

Ridgewood NJ, while the Village of Ridgewood Council plots to clear cut over 200 trees at Schedler park , the village has begun the second phase of its tree inventory project, this time a three-week survey of the estimated 2,000 trees along county roads and public parks.

Ridgewood NJ, the Conservancy for Ridgewood Public Lands and Green Ridgewood hosted the “Daffodil Festival and Earth Day Fair” together on Sunday, April 23, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The weather held and this fun family event took place in Memorial Park at Van Neste Square, located along East Ridgewood Avenue .

Ridgewood NJ, according to Mahmoud Hamza of the Village Shade Tree Commission , “The municipal 2020 fall shade tree planting was completed and another 200+ trees were added to our street tree inventory! We are now looking forward to the 2021 budget vote to continue the necessary funding for shade trees.”
