Rochelle Park Single Family Home Sustains Heavy Fire Damage ,Minor Injuries Reported

Rochelle Park NJ, the occupants of a single family home located on North Drive in Rochelle Park safely fled their house moments before it became engulfed by heavy black smoke emanating from the basement early Tuesday morning, 08/22. Firefighters from Rochelle Park were assisted by numerous other agencies in extinguishing the blaze. Unfortunately, the structure sustained heavy fire, smoke, and water damage. One (1) civilian and one (1) firefighter reportedly suffered minor injuries.

Truck Picking Up Container Entangled in Power Lines Infront of Franklin School in Saddle Brook

Saddle Brook NJ, a roll-off truck became entangled in a bundle of communications & power lines on Thursday afternoon, 08/17, while picking up a full container in front of the Franklin School on Caldwell Avenue in Saddle Brook. Damage was limited to the house services supplying a single family home opposite the school. Saddle Brook Fire Department and Rochelle Park Fire Department units stood by along with a PSE&G Electric Division technician as the truck driver gingerly maneuvered the truck’s hydraulic apparatus off of the lines. No injuries were reported in the mishap. Saddle Brook Police also responded.

Rollover Crash in Rochelle Park Sends Victim to Hackensack University Medical Center

Rochelle Park NJ, Rochelle Park Fire Department and Maywood Fire Department required the use of hydraulic extrication tools to free an individual who was entrapped inside of a Mazda SUV that had flipped on its side after hitting a tree in the 300 block of West Passaic Street, Rochelle Park on Tuesday morning, 07/19. BLS and ALS personnel from Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC) aided the victim on scene before ambulance transport to HUMC’s main campus. Rochelle Park Police provided traffic control at the scene and investigated the single vehicle crash. The heavily damaged vehicle was righted by a hydraulic lift tow truck prior to its removal from the scene by a flatbed tow truck.

Friday Rollover Crash Temporary Closes Northbound Lanes on Route 17

Rochelle Park  NJ, A rollover crash involving a tractor trailer and a passenger vehicle resulted in the temporary closure of all northbound lanes on Route 17 at the Passaic Street exit in Rochelle Park on Friday morning, 09/07. At least one (1) person was reportedly ejected from the passenger car and transported by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus.

Tree Service Truck Rolled Over on Paramus Road No one Hurt

Paramus NJ, An aerial lift truck owned by a tree service rolled over onto its side in front of 387 Paramus Road, Paramus on Monday afternoon, 05/14. Fair Lawn Heavy Rescue and Rochelle Park Fire Department responded to the incident on a mutual aid basis because Paramus Fire Department and Rescue Squad personnel were engaged at a multiple alarm fire in Paramus. The driver of the truck self-extricated from the vehicle and was uninjured. A hazardous materials response team was summoned to evaluate/remediate a diesel fuel spill resultant from the crash. Paramus Police was assisted at the scene by members of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Service Division. An overhead communications cable was also damaged in the mishap.
