Charges Filed in Post-Graduation Brawl at Westwood Regional High School

Twp. of Washington NJ, in the aftermath of the Westwood Regional High School graduation on June 20, over a dozen individuals are now facing charges related to a brawl that erupted on the football field. The incident occurred at the conclusion of the 6 p.m. ceremony, resulting in multiple injuries and one hospitalization.

Westwood NJ, the graduation ceremony at Westwood Regional High School took a troubling turn on Thursday evening as a brawl broke out on the football field, resulting in multiple injuries and one person being hospitalized, according to the Township of Washington Police Department.

Twp. of Washington NJ, the Township of Washington Police Department would like to inform the residents that on  December 27, 2023 at approximately 6:00 PM Patrol was dispatched to a residence on the west side of town for an Attempted Burglary call.  It appears two actors were going to possibly attempt entry into a home, which was monitored by the homeowners camera system. Patrol responded, canvassed the entire area with negative results.  Below are the pictured actors:

Major Milling and Paving Work on Pascack Road in Twp. of Washington to Begin August 28th – September 20th

Twp. of Washington NJ, the County of Bergen has selected to pave Pascack Road from the Hillsdale boarder at Ell Road until the Paramus boarder at Linwood Avenue.  The project is expected to begin on or about Monday August 28th and continue until about Wednesday September 20th.  All work on the project will be conducted between the hours of 7:00am until 5:00pm.

Twp of Washington NJ,  Twp of Washington Residents are advised to be on the lookout Public Service Electric & Gas (PSE&G) will be in the Township starting Monday May 10th and for approximately the next four or more weeks performing gas meter safety inspections of all Township residents. They will be in the Township Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

Car Stolen from the Driveway in Twp. Of Washington Recovered in East Orange

Twp. of Washington NJ, Twp of Washington Police report at approximately 4:00 AM on the morning of December 6, 2020, a vehicle was stolen from the driveway of a house on Willow Street in Washington Township, New Jersey.  Two other vehicles in the surrounding area were also entered.  A video shows two males exiting a small black SUV and entering a vehicle parked in a driveway on Willow Street.  The stolen vehicle was later located and recovered in East Orange, New Jersey.  It should be noted, the stolen vehicle was unlocked and the key fob was inside the vehicle when it was stolen.  The other vehicles that were entered were also unlocked.  The Township of Washington Police Department would like to remind and encourage all residents to lock their vehicles and do not leave the key fobs or any other valuables in unattended vehicles.

TWO MEN CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE CRIMES IN TWP OF WASHINGTON ARMED HOME INVASION ROBBERY

Ridgewood NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of EDWARD V. ARNONE (DOB: 7/25/1971; divorced; unemployed) of 40 Johnson Avenue, Sayville, New York and LOUIS F. MORANO (DOB: 12/6/1988; single; truck driver) of 2262 Renfrew Avenue, Elmont, New York on charges of Armed Robbery, Conspiracy To Commit Armed Robbery, Kidnapping, Theft By Extortion, Possession Of A Weapon For An Unlawful Purpose, Unlawful Possession Of A Weapon, Armed Burglary, and Stalking. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Township of Washington Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard Skinner.
