Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police and NJ Transit Police officers were summoned to NJ Transit’s Ridgewood passenger rail station on Saturday afternoon, 12/02 to maintain order in response to a telephoned report of approximately 50 disorderly/unruly individuals on the Hoboken bound platform. Ridgewood Police officers determined that the individuals in question were high school students en route to a championship football game at Met Life Stadium. Patrol officers prevented one (1) juvenile male from boarding a departing train and detained him until his parents arrived. A patrol supervisor indicated that the detainee appeared to have been under the influence of an unknown substance. All police activity was cleared from the train station area within 45 minutes of the original request for assistance. No injuries were reported.

Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock firefighters required mutual aid assistance from fire departments in several nearby communities to battle a series of brush fires along NJ Transit train tracks in their Borough that temporarily disrupted rail service on NJ Transit’s Main & Bergen Lines on Saturday afternoon, 10/21. No injuries were reported related to the blazes, but there were multiple property damage reports (fences, light poles, etc.). The fires were reportedly started by a defective part on an NJ Transit train that made it as far as Harriman, NY (with no fires reported anywhere else other than in Glen Rock).

Police: New Jersey man owes more than $56,000 in tolls, fees

TEANECK, N.J. –  Transit police say they’ve arrested a New Jersey man who avoided paying tolls nearly 900 times and owes more than $56,000 in unpaid tolls and fees.

Port Authority of New York and New Jersey police say an officer stopped Alesandel Rodriguez’s car Friday morning after it failed to post a payment in an EZ-Pass lane on the George Washington Bridge.

Authorities say the car was missing front and rear license plates, and a temporary New York tag inside the vehicle had expired.

Ridgewood NJ , a Pro-ISIS Group Hacked the NJ Transit Police website and published personal Information on New Jersey Transit officers.The group known as the Caliphate Cyber Army first released the personal details of 55 officers in early March.

The group known as the Caliphate Cyber Army (CCA) first released the personal details of 55 officers in early March after hacking into the NJ Transit police website,Newsweek reported. The newsmagazine saw the list of personal details, which included home addresses, phone numbers, names and ranks.

Information was released on a pro-ISIS Twitter account published and a list of New Jersey Transit officers’ names and personal information, encouraging supporters to carry out “lone wolf” attacks on them, according to sources and published reports.

The Twitter account that linked out to the list has since been suspended, but another tweet referencing the list was sent Monday, was reported on NBC 4 New York but It’s not clear who sent the tweet.

The original file was uploaded to an Arabic-language file sharing site on March 2 and was downloaded 300 times by March 5, the Daily Mail reports.

In a statement, NJ Transit spokeswoman Lisa Torbic said the agency’s information system was not compromised, “however some information was breached from an outside vendor.”, she went on the New Jersey Transit Police Department is working with the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI on this matter,”

Local  State and Transit Police Plus Bergen County agencies Respond to Large Brawl at BOOM Burger in Rochelle park

Rochelle Park NJ,  Police from more than a dozen Bergen County agencies plus NJ State and NJ Transit PD units responded to a large bar brawl at the Boom Burger restaurant, 375 West Passaic Street, Rochelle Park on Sunday evening, 12/06 at approximately 7:30 PM. An unknown number of restaurant patrons suffered minor injuries in the fracas. Two (2) ambulances were also called to the scene and at least two (2) patrons received treatment on site, but no one was transported to a hospital. No word on whether there were any arrests related to the incident, nor what precipitated the brawl. Jets ,Giants Bragging rights ,Football you bet!
