Wyckoff NJ, From May 21, 2018 through June 3, 2018, the Wyckoff Police Department will be participating in the New Jersey Department of Highway Safety’s “Click it or Ticket” Campaign. The Wyckoff Police Department will be taking a zero tolerance approach to enforcing this law which provides a safety measure for motorists and the occupants in their vehicles. The enforcement shall include fixed check-points and roving patrols. This enforcement occurs on all roadways in the Township in order to enforce compliance of seatbelt usage.
Enforcing seatbelt laws plays a critical role in the WPD’s effort in keeping motorists traveling on Wyckoff roadways safe. WPD’s participation has helped increase New Jersey’s seat belt usage from year to year: Currently New Jersey’s seatbelt usage stands at 94.07%, the highest usage rate for New Jersey to date.
