Ridgewood NJ, the Biden Administration announced on Thursday that recent reports of drone sightings in New Jersey do not pose an immediate threat to national security or public safety, though investigations into the mysterious occurrences are ongoing.
White House Statement: No Clear Threat
National Security Communications Adviser John Kirby addressed reporters, emphasizing there is currently no evidence linking the sightings to a foreign entity or any public danger.
“We have no evidence at this time that the reported drone sightings pose a national security or a public safety threat or have a foreign nexus,” Kirby said, adding that the federal government is working diligently to uncover the origins of the sightings.
Kirby noted that many reported incidents appear to involve lawful manned aircraft and that no drones have been spotted in restricted areas.
Local Concerns and Political Criticism
Despite the administration’s assurances, the drone sightings have left New Jersey residents on edge. Governor Phil Murphy expressed his concern earlier this week, stating he is taking the reports “deadly seriously.”
Assemblyman Brian Bergen, speaking on Fox News, sharply criticized the Biden Administration, accusing it of downplaying a significant concern. “That guy is an idiot,” Bergen said, referring to Kirby’s comments.
In response to rising public anxiety, senators from New Jersey and New York sent a letter to federal agencies, including the FBI and FAA, requesting a detailed briefing on the situation.
Federal Agencies Mobilized
The FBI, Department of Homeland Security, and Coast Guard are collaborating with local officials and employing advanced detection techniques to investigate the sightings.
Kirby acknowledged that the administration has reviewed imagery and conducted analyses but so far has been unable to corroborate many of the reported incidents.
“We’ve looked at the imagery. We can’t corroborate some of the reported sightings through our own expert analysis using sophisticated detection techniques,” Kirby explained. “But that doesn’t mean we’re putting our pen down this afternoon.”
Ongoing Investigation
The administration reassured the public that if President Biden deemed the situation a national security threat, immediate action would be taken, potentially involving law enforcement or the military.
Kirby urged patience as investigations continue:
“We understand that people are concerned, we’ve got questions too, and we’re working hard to get the answers to that.”

Remember (according to the US military) the NRO has satellites that can read license plates from space. But a bunch of drones blanket the northern part of a US state and, well, they got some images, and they’re looking at them, but, you know, they were taken with a brownie camera or something and it’s just hard to make out.

The one they let drift halfway across the country also claiming they didn’t know what it was? Here’s a hot take: either the American gov’t has no respect for and obligation to its citizens, and/or American airspace isn’t American anymore, same goes for American resources, natural and human.

OMG, this gov is screwed. The level of bureaucracy and inefficiency is incredible. We are still working on this??!! It’s really shocking that after so many days nothing is known of these drones which shows this govt has no control over its skies. Also how on earth a state like NJ doesn’t possess the resources that can intervene and probe what’s going on. All we hear is, we don’t know what it is but it doesn’t appear to be harmful. Chemical agents are not visible, virus loads are not visible. Can anyone guarantee that it is not happening?
The gov is not screwed, you are. It has nothing to do with inefficiency or bureaucracy. When the gov wants to do something, it does it, even if it has to invent a pretext for it. This is the same gov that says that existential threats to freedom abound; if you see something, say something; it’s Orange Alert and the terrorists are coming for you; and Russia, Russia, Russia; and China; and white supreme pizzas are lighting up their tiki torches; and … and … and … but they won’t close the border. And now mysterious drones all over the place.
But if some anonymous d-bag reports your pet squirrel they’ll conduct a five hour raid on your house and it kill.
