Oakland NJ, on March 11th Oakland Patrol officer, Sergeant Keith Docwra initiated a traffic stop involving an erratic driver that was called in by a motorist. The vehicle was located at the intersection of Long Hill Road and Ramapo Valley Road stopped at a red light with the motorist appearing to be drowsy behind the wheel. The involved vehicle had a flat tire, a heavily damaged wheel, and a smashed rear window sustained from a recent motor vehicle crash.
Contact was made with the motorist, a 26-year-old male resident of Franklin Lakes, NJ, and obvious signs of impairment were demonstrated. Sgt Docwra attempted to administer field sobriety tests but the offender became noncompliant as well as physically combative. The offender was subdued with the help of other responding officers, during which the individual kicked and spit multiple times at the arresting officers, striking same. The offender also continued to spit at/on officers while in custody during processing. The offender received multiple motor vehicle summonses which included Driving Under the Influence and was also criminally charged with Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, and multiple counts of Throwing Bodily Fluids.
The offender was later turned over into the custody of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department and lodged into the Bergen County Jail. Officers Matthew Lopez, Jonathan Coleman, and Timothy McDonough assisted. *All defendant(s) are presumed innocent unless and until he or she has been proven guilty in a court of law.

why bother you realize that governor choppers just released4200 inmates in the last month and there were definitely alot worse offenders than this joker and by the he was only driving while blottoed and assaulted a couple of cops they don’t matter anyway right. Yeah NO this piece of trash should be thrown in the clink for a good 5 to 7 years but in this state he’ll get a program to help him no jail time and thats it and what about these brave officers who have to wonder what diseases this animal has and they could now be bringing home to their families but they’re the bad guys disgraceful. change the laws punish criminals and protect the blue not the other way around.
