Paramus NJ, you’ve seen him on TV and heard his name around Bergen County and the tri-state area. Now, NBC Weekend Today in New York’s own “Produce Pete” Napolitano and co-author Susan Bloom was at The Valley Hospital in Paramus for a book discussion for his memoir/cookbook, “They Call Me Produce Pete,” followed by a produce demo and book signing last Thursday, June 13, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Peter Napolitano (born February 23, 1945) better known by stage name Produce Pete (sometimes referred to as Pete Your Produce Pal), is an American grocer, chef, and celebrity spokesperson who is perhaps best known for his weekly fruit and vegetable segments that appear on WNBC in New York City and WCAU in Philadelphia.

  1. A strange venue for someone promoting a healthy diet (presumably), a hospital?

    1. Growing their own vegetables in the Valley Cafeteria, perhaps that is why he was there..

      1. Book signing mentioned in the article.
