Oakland NJ, after an extended period of deliberation, the Ramapo Indian Hills Board of Education finally reached a consensus on Thursday to initiate the process of hiring a new school superintendent by soliciting bids from search companies.
This decision was not easily reached, requiring three months and two motions. During the school board meeting on Thursday night, Marianna Emmolo, a school trustee, reintroduced her motion from October 30 to enlist the services of Hazard Young Attea Associates, based in Illinois, to conduct the superintendent search. This search aims to find a successor for Rui Dionisio, who had announced on August 15 that he would be leaving his position in November to assume the same role in the Fair Lawn school district.
The district, encompassing two high schools, caters to 2,096 students in grades 9-12 from Franklin Lakes, Oakland, and Wyckoff.
