New math rule: 40+ feet is about 80% of 30 feet. Here is the proof:
Reader say rendering is out of scale
Print the attached image and then measure the two red arrows. The building which is supposed to be 40+ feet high has an arrow which is 80% in length of the street width’s red arrow. Hence Proved (that 40+ is shorter than 30)!!.
A mear technicality
Boyd should tie a measured string to a helium balloon and take the same picture.
On a calm day with little wind.
Get to work Boyd!
VOTE NO Mike and Susan!! Susan, you asked for picture simulations to show to the surrounding neighbors. These are not accurate. You two better make it clear, you will not tolerate this nonsense. Don’t be pushed around and bullied by the 3. Stand your ground!!!
9:07 Ridgewood Taxpayer – This was not Boyd’s image. I posted it on Facebook and Ridgewood Blog has copied it from there. You can check ‘it takes a Ridgewood’ facebook group to find out who I am.
What about the gross enlargement of those trees, as if they are the same height as the garage? Go up there in person people, those are shrubs!
10:12 I never said it was Boyd’s image.
Beautiful.
It’s the new math that they are teaching. It’s call Ahronson math.
It’s also called Gwennie’s math. You know, the math where she can’t recall if maybe she donated $25,000 to Valley Hospital. Such small change, who can remember such a minor expense.
1:27
Just a few pence. No need to worry about how that could possibly influence her dealing with valley on behalf of the town in legal matters.
This is called perspective, i.e., the further away an object is the smaller it appears. But then this may not be understandable to James who obviously is still playing with crayons!!
lol Rurik perhaps your tie is on too tight ?
Not tight enough, James!
Rurik, it’s simple amateur trickery. The first level of the building in the foreground and garage is similar; however the second level roof gable of the building in the foreground is the size of two stories of the garage. A Stamford man should have been able to catch that.
Rurik your blind stupidity is showing.
I take blind stupidity any time over cowardice Anon 5:21. If you have anything to say, identify yourself or else just SHUT UP!
It still looks like a monster
6:17, careful there Rurik, your incivility is showing
Thanks James for keeping us in the loop. Even the best pictures of the proposed garage look out of place on little Hudson Street. The garage should be built at the old Town Garage site once we obtain it thru eminent domain and remediate the property so that our water supply will no longer be threatened by diesel, and hydrolic fuels seeping from the buried tanks on the site.
The building next to the garage is more than half the height of the garage
Where are your papers! Identify yourself or of to the mishmar:
Where the hell are you John V. You want to join in.
7:39pm-
Have already engaged on this topic on Facebook with the author of the drawing. See no further need to comment!
Just checking on you to see if your alright.
can’t they build a bit big’er.
Is Village Green really 5 stories high?
