Washington DC, in a shocking revelation, records obtained by Judicial Watch have detailed numerous attacks by President Joe Biden’s dog, Commander, on Secret Service and White House personnel. These incidents have raised serious concerns about the handling and oversight of the First Family’s pets.

Through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, Judicial Watch received 116 pages of records from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). These documents shed light on several biting incidents, some severe enough to require medical attention.

The records were released following a lawsuit filed in February 2024 after the DHS failed to respond to a September 2023 FOIA request. The request aimed to uncover:

Any and all records related to incidents of aggression and bites involving the Biden family dog, “Commander,” including communications involving USSS officials in both Uniformed and Non-Uniformed Divisions related to White House operations and the Presidential Protection Division.

Notable Incidents

The records include a particularly alarming incident from September 12, 2023, when a Secret Service officer was bitten twice by Commander. According to an email from a Secret Service official:

POTUS took Commander (on a leash) to the Kennedy Garden this evening for a walk. While POTUS and Commander were in the Kennedy Garden I was standing halfway from the Book-Sellers and the Family Theater. POTUS opened the Book-Seller door and said [redacted]. As I started to walk toward him to see if he needed help, Commander ran through his legs and bit my left arm through the front of my jacket. I pulled my arm away and yelled no. POTUS also yelled [redacted] to Commander. POTUS then [redacted]. I obliged and Commander let me pet him. When turning to close the door, Commander jumped again and bit my left arm for the second time. POTUS again yelled at Commander and attached the leash to him. My suit coat has 3 holes, 1 being all the way through. No skin was broken.

On September 25, 2023, another incident occurred, prompting an officer to potentially seek hospital treatment. An internal log noted:

OFC. [redacted] (POST [redacted] ADVISED BIT BY FAMILY PET AND REQUESTED SECTOR OFFICIAL. SGT. [redacted] REQUESTED EMT TO RESPOND.

Later, CNN reported that a uniformed Secret Service officer was bitten by Commander, leading to widespread media inquiries.

Reaction and Response

Emails within the Secret Service revealed frustration and urgency. One official suggested muzzling the dog, while another expressed disbelief at the situation:

TMZ just reported a dog bite at the White House! Can we please find a way to get this dog muzzled? How does TMZ know before we do??? Not sure. We must get this dog muzzled. Geezzzz… Unbelievable!

These biting incidents follow a pattern similar to those involving the Bidens’ previous dog, Major. Documents previously disclosed by Judicial Watch showed numerous attacks by Major, including 10 incidents requiring medical treatment.

Legal Actions and Further Investigations

Judicial Watch continues to pursue transparency on this issue. A separate lawsuit filed in May 2024 seeks additional records on biting incidents and the handling of traumatic injury claims. The lawsuit demands:

All emails and text messages sent to and from various high-ranking officials regarding the submission of CA-1 Forms (“Notice of Traumatic Injury and Claim for Continuation of Pay or Compensation”) related to bites by Biden family dogs.

Conclusion

These disturbing revelations highlight serious lapses in the handling of the Biden family’s dogs, with multiple incidents of aggression and biting. Judicial Watch’s ongoing legal efforts aim to uncover the full extent of these issues and ensure accountability. The safety of Secret Service personnel and the integrity of White House operations remain paramount.

  1. Its common knowledge that the dog is a reflection of the owner.
If the dog is an asshole, the owner generally is an asshole
    Nice people have nice dogs
