Ridgewood Board of Education Member Calls Out Village on Lack of September 11th Memorial

US-ATTACKS-9/11-ANNIVERSARY

the staff of the Ridgewood blog

Ridgewood NJ, Jim Morgan, Vice President of the Ridgewood Board of Education  asks in what some are calling a feud with the Village Council , “What commemorative activity does the village municipal government plan to remember the many friends and relatives of Ridgewood residents that died in the attack? Glen Rock annually has a very moving gathering at their 9/11 Memorial. If Ridgewood has not scheduled anything, I would invite anyone that cares to participate in this civic ceremony. It is scheduled for 6:30 at Veterans Park on Main Street just off Rock Road.”

James,
Please be advised that my comments are personal and are made in my capacity as a Board of Education member. You will note that my posting made no mention of the BOE or my association with the school district. Thanks.

  1. James,

  2. Jim Morgan, get over you pompous self.

  3. Good one.
    .
A little CYA and misdirection since the schools are doing little to nothing to commemorate 9/11.
    .

  4. Not that we want to take on more debt (Ramon Hache) and have our taxes increased (Mike Barker), but let’s please stop spending money on things that aren’t impactful (e.g. $200,000 for a garbage truck!).

Let’s instead redirect our hard-earned tax dollars to something significantly more important: honoring our fallen patriots!

This town is a becoming a joke. We’ve lost any aspiration to resemble the likes to Greenwich, CT. Soon, we’ll be the functional and aesthetic equivalent of, um, Paterson.
