Ridgewood NJ, a Thursday afternoon fire on March 13 prompted a swift response from Ridgewood Police Department (RPD) patrol officers and Ridgewood Fire Department (RFD) firefighters in the 200 block of East Ridgewood Avenue.
Fire Breaks Out Behind Retail Establishment
The blaze originated in a small dumpster behind a retail store, quickly spreading to bulk refuse placed nearby. Thanks to the quick action of local emergency personnel, the fire was successfully contained before it could cause damage to the store’s building or a nearby parked vehicle.
Investigation Underway
After the fire was safely extinguished, two fire prevention officers were seen entering nearby businesses to review security footage, indicating that an investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
No Injuries Reported
Thankfully, no injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
