  1. And all the fields are looking really good.

  2. As a personal investigator. It sounds like someone from the sports group really wants to play and utilize the field. Because why would they cut the chains and move the goalpost doesn’t make sense. Where are the cameras don’t tell me there’s no cameras on the field. It’s village hall Somebody had to say something. Catch them and let them repair the damage then they will learn.

  3. They must have trip over it.

  4. Can we bring up this question once again. Just curious and wondering why we are tinted windows on police cars. For some reason no one wants to answer that question. We are just curious that’s all it may be good for a good reason that’s done. Thank you for your time

  5. Young adults have been playing soccer games at North Maple at least past few days. This is an observation not a commentary on social distancing. Have seen it personally on multiple days while walking past there recently. So, yes to the OP comment, apparently there are people who really want to play so much they take bolt cutters with them to the field.

    Origins…. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_killings_of_NYPD_officer

Officers are also exempt from title 39 violations in the performances of their duties. They are in compliance with state law Most police vehicles are now tinted from the factory. NYPD goes further and installed bullet proof panels in the door and separate head shields.

Furthermore, police vehicles equipped with computers may display personal identifying information. I don’t think you want to the public walking by a police vehicle to know you used to beat your wife would you?

  7. We are at is the surveillance footage.

  8. Thanks for explaining the tinted window but some dummies will still nut understand it.

  9. Ok thanks

  10. How exactly does a tinted window protect a Police Officer? I think most people would have the expectation that the person(s) sitting in the front seat of Police cars would be Police.

Computer screens can easily be equipped with polarizing filters that block their view from all but people right in front of them. These are used on any screen that needs to be secured from unauthorized viewing – ATMS, PCs on Trading Floors, etc.

Bulletproof glass and other armored panels are a much better solution if the Police feel threatened by us civilians.

  11. Can anyone on this thread speak Fucking english?

  12. All the cameras are at Habernickel As soon as the business came in it was lights cameras and “ action”. Thanks to Nancy Bigios who approves “ everything” over there even drinking in the park as long as you paid healthbarn to do so

  13. Why would this thread be different than any other thread on this whole site?

Oops. I mean, why wood this thred be diffurnt then a ny other thred on the hole sight?

  14. Why is the Village spending so much money on Habernickle, Schedler, the old Town Garage and the Elks building during a pandemic?

Where are the savings in their budget from other areas like less police & fire OT?

    1. High density housing , sanctuary state , and current covid stupidity means more fire and more police not less, you should not have voted for Paul Aronsohn

Most ambushes occur where tactical advantage is in the hands of the shooter. Why would you shoot at the windshield where you as the shooter can also be killed. If you cannot see inside the vehicle, what can you target? I think tints don’t go far enough, it should be mirrored. Again the occurrences are so frequent that vehicle manufacturers are installing tints at the factory. Both Chevrolet and Ford now have perimeter sensors for this reason.

“Computer screens can easily be equipped with polarizing filters that block their view from all but people right in front of them. These are used on any screen that needs to be secured from unauthorized viewing – ATMS, PCs on Trading Floors, etc.”

Filters inhibit being able to read in sunlight, vehicles are outside and in direct light. This will not work.

Police don’t have the luxury of working on a safe trading floor that is swept for bombs each morning, metal detectors at the door and where your biggest adversary is only trying to order his put. You are dealing with individuals who no one else can deal with or are at their worst. You are the help.

“Bulletproof glass and other armored panels are a much better solution if the Police feel threatened by us civilians.”

Police ARE killed by you civilians. 18 from gunfire as of this year alone. Nobody supports your 2nd amendment more than police officers do just ask one. But all is asked is you give them the tools for protection when you are outmatched or unarmed.

  16. Well said and Thank You for informing all the armchair warriors that are secure in their homes.

  17. “Police ARE killed by you civilians. 18 from gunfire as of this year alone. ”

Let’s consider the cost/benefit. 18 Ridgewood officers were not killed. That’s probably a national stat you’re citing. I would buy into the tinting of police vehicles in “high risk” areas like Paterson, Newark, etc. — not in Ridgewood, Saddle River, Alpine and other towns where not much really happens.

  18. Ridgewood can spend 9 million + on a parking garage but you people complain about the cost/benefit of tinted windows . Matthew 23:24, ‘Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel’.

  19. They don’t have to drive that fast we should put recap tires on all police vehicle. How about we sell advertisement for the outside of the police vehicle. The village can get some income back to build another garage.

  20. A lot of the Soccer moms have tinted windows.

  21. “A lot of the Soccer moms have tinted windows.”

Have you seen some of the soccer moms in Ridgewood? They roll around in pimped out Chevy Suburbans like true gangsters! I wonder if they’re also packin’ steel…
