Ridgewood Nj, Ridgewood Parks & Recreation offers a variety of programs for children in our late fall session. Many begin next week.

PRESCHOOL
Storytime and Harvest Adventure with HealthBarn USA – Each week children will share a literary favorite and become taste testers as they go on a garden adventure and bring the story to life. Ages 2 to 4 with caregiver. Offered on Mondays, 1 to 2 pm, at the Gatehouse, Irene Habernickel Park, 1057 Hillcrest Road, beginning November 5. $60/6 classes, includes all materials.
My First Art with Abrakadoodle – caregivers join as little ones focus on exploration, while painting, drawing, sculpting, enjoying storybooks, art games and music. Ages 20-42 months. Tuesday mornings at the Stable, 259 N. Maple Avenue, 10:30 to 11:15 am, beginning November 13. $125/6 classes, includes all materials.
Snowman Science STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) with Education Explorers – **now an afternoon class** – Junior explorers will have fun making their own snow, a snowstorm in a bottle, crystal snowflakes and much more. Ages 3-5, Tuesday afternoons at the Stable, 259 N. Maple Avenue, 1 to 2 pm, beginning November 13. $125/6 classes – includes all materials.
Yoga Dance with The Joy of Motion – **now an afternoon class** – Little ones love this fun and creative class. Benefits of yoga for children include body and movement awareness, improved flexibility and strength, enhanced concentration, increased self-esteem, ability to better manage stress, creative imaginations, peer and social interaction, discipline and responsibility. Combining dance with yoga adds the inclusion of development of musicality and rhythm, stimulation, creativity, focus and the ability to do poses longer with the music. Formal attire is not required; comfortable clothes are recommended. Wednesday afternoons at the Stable, 259 N. Maple Avenue, 1 to 1:45 pm, beginning November 7. $75/6 classes.

ELEMENTARY
Extreme S.T.E.A.M. with Education Explorers – Students will have fun with science, technology, engineering, art and math. They will design geoboards, simple machines and much more. Grades K-4. Mondays, 3:45 to 4:45 pm, beginning November 5th. $115/5 classes, includes materials.
Yoga/Art/Meditation with Colorful Warriors – This session will focus on sharing happiness and being thankful. Participants will create homemade gifts, learn body-warming yoga moves and discuss showing gratitude. Grades K-5, Mondays, 3:45 to 4:45 pm, beginning November 5. $95/5 classes includes materials. Please bring a yoga mat.
Explore Science and Superheroes – Students will take a look at multiple science theories behind various superheroes and their powers. They will test the theory of flight to speed, design a web to capture as much weight as possible, test catapults and launch abilities, and more. Grades K-5, Tuesdays, 3:45 to 4:45 pm, beginning November 13. $130/6 classes, includes materials.
Acrylics & Drawing with Mrs. C. – Enjoy individual drawing and acrylic art instruction at personal levels. Grades 2-8, Wednesdays, 3:30 to 4:45 pm, beginning November. $70/6 classes. Students bring own materials – list provided at registration.
Candy Coated Science with Education Explorers – Children will explore the science behind some of their favorite candies, while discovering the principles of density, solvency and chromatography. Grades K-4. Wednesdays, 3:45 to 4:45 pm, beginning November 7. $130/6 classes, includes all materials.

Non-Residents may register for any session for an additional charge of $10 per class session.
