
A Fairfield Avenue resident reported the theft of a bicycle on 8/19/16. The victim reported the bicycle was left unlocked at the rear of an East Ridgewood Avenue business. The bicycle was described as a Nishiki male racing style bike and is black and white in color.
On 8/22/16 a Spring Avenue resident reported the theft of a bicycle tire. The victim reported the bicycle was left locked along the fence at the Station Plaza underpass. The value of the front tire is unknown at this time.
They took one from my garage and one from my neighbor’s garage. This was 2 years ago. RPD said it was probably a couple of teen angers using the bikes for conveyance.
I didn’t buy it at the time and I still don’t.
My guess is it’s related to a landscaper or perhaps some Milennial needing a drug fix…
I noticed yesterday the Welcome to Ridgewood sign on Grove street heading away from Paramus is missing. Was it stolen of was it knocked down by car and removed?
Police Blotter reports of people stealing things out of garages and taking loose change out of cars in the middle of the night give me the CREEPS. I hate the thought that people are prowling around out there. At this point I’ve been closing my first-floor windows at night. Makes me sad and mad.
