the staff of the Ridgewood blog
Ridgewood NJ, how much abuse in our society can be attributed to powerful people who believe the rules that apply to everyone else don’t apply to them?
Ridgewood Board of Education Policy 7510- USE OF SCHOOL FACILITIES– The use of school facilities shall not be granted for partisan political purposes.
Are Ridgewood Mayor Paul Vagianos, Deputy Mayor Pam Perron and friends exempt from policy? Rules that apply to everyone else don’t apply to them?

Typical Ridgewood, do as I say, not as I do. And don’t worry about what I do.
Why is only council being blamed for this.
Board of Ed shared this news on their site as well, so presumably they were aware of it.
RHS hosts partisan rallies all the time. Remember their big rally before Biden elections?
Take note: The terms of both Village Council members pictured here (Perron and Vagianos) expire this year. Which means they are both up for reelection. Make no mistake, this was a well engineered, partisan political event.
Bag them!!!!
What about the police department? I’m sure they were informed of a political meeting. And that’s the problem too. Any of the mayor and council are the boss no one else. Especially when they put all these now positions into place.
BOE, Village Manager, Village of Ridgewood all reposted the same. This non-partisan Village is slowly becoming another political machine. Question is, what is anyone going to do about this? Aside from blogging, where does one file an official complaint?

Paul Vagianos went from building a wall in front of his restaurant (against ordinance) to political press conferences at schools. Wait to see what other rules he’s going to break and has broken. VOTE HIM OUT!
The arrogance displayed by putting an illegal wall is sufficient for me to never vote for him. I couldn’t get my passenger door open due to this years ago
Pau-lie is lending money to Board Directors, taking a note out on their houses, and this press debacle is peanuts compared to what he’d do if elected again. Come November, SAY NO to PAU-LIE!
In my opinion, Mayor Paul clearly thinks no one is paying attention to whom he lends money to. He kept stating is was alleged but it was a signed a notarized document that existed on a county website. If people are actually paying attention, he is probably hoping that they can be easily fooled. The village attorney, someone who also worked at the lawfirm with the named partner and recipient of the loan, passed it off as nothing of substance. They are literally all rowing in the same boat which is adrift in an ocean full of their own BS.
Planting an older man in a wheelchair, to maximize the photo op, is proof of the exploitation and abuse this Administration is capable of. What a shame!
The BOE granted permission for this? OPRA that email exchange. Include deleted emails. 🙂
Why doesn’t this Wyckoff Rep use a Wyckoff school ?
Wyckoff knows better. Meanwhile I’m Ridgewood, let’s exploit even the kids and schools. Nothing so off limits to this bunch.
Vagianos ran for a higher office in 2017 and lost. Do you think all of these ridiculous Gottheimer photo ops means that he is thinking that this will be a stepping stone to a greater power? It would get him out of his spot as Mayor, which many residents want. Just one example of Paul’s inability to keep promises was his 2017 campaign line item on flooding where he stated that bold new action was required, but did he do anything at all to ensure he had this covered or come up with plans to highlight what the issues were? Nope. The only bold action he took was to bring Primavera by way of his friend Gail Price into the village to work on the sports complex he envisions over on the Schedler property and has been laser focused on that plan while running the rest of Ridgewood into the ground. Good job, Paul and congrats on your lack of any real achievements that matter except for your special interest projects which include the fields and CBD.
His failed attempt to run for state office had campaign signs in the windows of the former lincoln mercury dealership, now an apartment complex.
These are elected officials, incumbents, announcing relevant initiatives. The partisans are posting here in there common sense free echo chamber. Yes, you fine patriots don’t like these three people. No, you can’t stop them from announcing stuff at a school. And the police can’t either. This blog.
Scrapple, the rules say different. No one, including them, should be above the rules/law.
@Anonymous. Please cite the relevant statutes so I may learn “the rules”. Looking forward to your response. I do love to learn.
Pam & Paul need to go!!! We need Council members who aren’t in the pockets of the sports interests clubs.
