Ridgewood NJ, Mayor Vagianos and Village Manager Keith Kazmark speak about TRANSPARENCY incessantly. They act like they invented it and are the poster-people for open government. Mr Kazmark recently called a resident a HYPOCRITE, but in fact who is the hypocrite?
Let’s review some of their non-transparent actions:
Mayor Vagianos HID comments that did not suit his narrative (that is, comments that were critical of him or his actions) on his Facebook page. As an elected official, on a page that is identified as belonging to a government official, he cannot do this. An OPRA in April of 2023 revealed this underhanded activity, and a complaint was filed. Then, quite reluctantly, Mayor Vagianos was made to reverse his attempts at being non-transparent by no longer hiding any comments.
Village Manager Kazmark EDITED AND REMOVED from his Village Manager Facebook page the fact that a Parking Enforcement Officer had been hired by the Village. He did this after the man was found (after working for the Village for quite some time) to be in violation of the law. Kazmark altered the record, thereby attempting to show that this man was never employed by the Village, “changing” history.
Village Manager Keith Kazmark was posting comments and opinions on Village of Ridgewood matters from his personal FB page. As such, the page was required to be open and available to all people, no exceptions. An OPRA revealed that he had several people BLOCKED. Moreover, he actually called the person who filed the OPRA in order to plead that his page not be scrutinized by OPRA. Calling a citizen who has filed an OPRA to pressure that the request be stopped is highly inappropriate.
When we hear about transparency and disdain for hypocrisy from the dais, let’s all be aware that the Mayor and Manager are known to hide and alter information on public forums, and to prevent some from participating.

Let’s get on the subject with contamination soil, our stupid director of Dpw and engineering really effed up on this one, cause this down millions of dollars in a screwup, he should not be employed anymore. We blame him and Heather they were in charge they should be gone. And furthermore regarding the contaminated soil, Stilton this day, the village never reached out to any employees that were directly possible infected. It’s amazing how you could ignore this, how do you go to sleep at night? Are you that much of a piece of shit? Heather, Chris and Jovan. Everyone always says Chris but Jovan is no picnic and was involved at dumping at Schedler too and plenty of other still we will likely never even find out about. Secrets and lies. All 3 should be removed.

Transparency is a funny word. This council thinks and wants to pretend that they are on the up and up and tell the public everything. There have been so many things that the public has found out after the fact or not at all. Who has the playbook and who is paying to play from behind the scenes. I have a few clues but not all of the answers. But with Vagianos at the helm and Kazmark steering the ship, we are in trouble any way you slice it and they are rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

We would like to know, not just who was receiving paid stipends, we wanna know what kind of perks the village directors are getting. Vacation time, sick time, and who knows what else they’re getting. If the taxpayers are paying for it, we demand a note. Because we’ve heard that in the past, we had High ranking management getting unlimited sick time.
And what is all their insane investment in Healthbarn??? What so many favors?
