River Edge Jumper Rescued by Quick Action by Multiply Police and Fire Agencies

River Edge NJ, on April 12 at approximately 2:05 pm, New Milford Fire Department was dispatched for a water rescue at the 100 block of New Bridge Road. New Milford Fire Chief 301 was first on scene along New Milford and River Edge Police. New Milford’s Marine 38 squad responded with their Boat and rescue team. Mutual aid from River Edge and Oradell Fire Departments responded with there rescue boats as well.

The jumper was rescued from the water and turned over to EMS and Paramedics and was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center.

The jumper was a 16 year old female and the teen is expected to be admitted to Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus. The event took place at Historical New Bridge Landing , the home of the Bergen County Historical Society.

  3. I sure it was all the SHE-ros and not the Fire Dept who saved the jumper.
