Ridgewood NJ, according to the Village Manager Keith Kazmark the new radar sign on East Glen Avenue at the PSE&G right of way went operational Wednesday morning! Keith thanked the Citizens Safety Advisory Committee (CSAC) and our amazing Signal Division for their continued efforts to make our roads safe here in Ridgewood.

Oh please. We know that the police do not monitor speed on the major thoroughfares. If they did, would be so much of a better town with regard to safety.
Exactly. Just another sign to be ignored. If you want to waste your tax dollars just give them to me.
Oh please.
The 25mph speed limit is just another form of virtue signaling.
That is why most people do not follow it.
30mph or 35mph is very safe speed limit and has a higher percentage of drivers adhering to the speed limit.
I follow the speed limit in town just to back up traffic.
And yet with the taxpayers are paying our local police department to sit on route 17 to do radar. We wonder before we say it’s ridiculous. Are they being compensated from the state and even if the village is, it’s a state highway. Let the state the police patrol it. Let our police department patrol our streets. And Glen Avenue is a county Road, let Bergen County Police Department patrol.
Anything flashing at drivers is a mistake.
Chk Lincoln Ave
Can give tkts out all day
Most people disregard those. Start patrolling and ticketing.
Bergen County handle all these county roads, it’s their responsibility, not Ridgewood’s. We all pay taxes to the county let them do it. Just like we pay taxes to the state let the state worry about route 17.
All the streets in ridgewood are county rds?
No, all the roads in Ridgewood are not county road stupid. The main roads are not the secondaries and all the BERGEN County roads are their responsibility in paying for repairs, replacement, they pay the town and give them salt, learn the info.
Was “stupid” necessary?
In Ridgewood stupidity is not necessary but it is essential.
