Hawthorne NJ, three people were transported to The Valley Hospital following a serious T-bone collision at the intersection of Route 208 Northbound and Goffle Road on Friday afternoon, April 18, according to local authorities.
Collision Between SUV and Sedan Shuts Down Traffic
The crash involved a Honda SUV and a Chevrolet 4-door sedan, both of which sustained significant damage. The force of the impact resulted in both vehicles being towed from the scene via flatbed truck.
As emergency crews worked to clear the wreckage, northbound traffic on Goffle Road was temporarily detoured to ensure safety and allow responders to operate efficiently.
Emergency Response and Hospital Transports
Ambulances from both The Valley Hospital EMS and Hawthorne EMS responded quickly to the scene. All three injured individuals were transported separately to The Valley Hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. Their current conditions have not been publicly released, but no fatalities were reported.
Investigation Underway
The Hawthorne Police Department is conducting a full investigation into the cause of the accident. Authorities have not yet disclosed whether any traffic citations or charges will be filed.
“We want to thank the quick response teams who ensured the injured received immediate care and the roadway was cleared as safely and quickly as possible,” said a Hawthorne Police spokesperson.

The crash actually happened on Goffle Road, not on Route 208.
This part of 208 is always dangerous
