Ridgewood NJ, another Summer Concert Series comes to a close at the Kasschau Memorial Shell in Ridgewood, despite some interventions of bad weather  the Summer Concert Series delivered 15 evenings of music under the stars :

“Another fabulous Summer Concert Series at the Kasschau Memorial Shell in Ridgewood is in the books, despite Mother Nature’s interference several times! We were thrilled to host 15 evenings of music, of various genres, for audiences of up to 500 people on some nights! Audience member’s came with blankets, chairs and picnics to spread out on Veterans Memorial Field to enjoy this incredible 63 year-old Ridgewood Tradition.
Our Summer Concert Series would not be possible without the continued financial support from our community.
This year, in addition to the generous support of The Village of Ridgewood, we welcomed a new Summer Concert Series Presenting Sponsor – DUXIANA, located at 63 East Ridgewood Avenue, proudly celebrating 31 years in Ridgewood! Thank you to our friends at DUXIANA.
Season Sponsors this year were long time supporters Valley Bank and The Valley Hospital! We appreciate their support year after year!
Event Sponsors truly stepped up this year to donate to the Shell and keep the music playing! Many brought their friends and families to enjoy their special evenings, and it really brought so much energy and fun to our Tuesday and Thursday events! Much gratitude to our friends:

The Kasschau Shell Committee of volunteers proudly awarded the Kasschau Memorial Shell Scholarship to Mr. William Stewart, Ridgewood High School Class of 2021. William will be continuing his music education at The University of Pennsylvania this fall. We can’t wait to see all he accomplishes in his future!
Hard at work behind the scenes was Ridgewood Parks and Recreation Department Director Nancy Bigos, and her amazing Staff in The Stable. Thank you especially to Mary Hefferan, Katie Frey and Deanna Schablik.
Special shout out to Jim O’Connell and the Ridgewood Signal Department, and also our Sound Engineers Jared Montgomery & Jeremy Perulli, who never failed to keep the music playing!
And finally, big thanks to Bob Modelski and the amazing team at Ridgewood Press for all of their hard work and creativity!
We loved having the various bands, choral groups, student groups and musicians take the stage and the Kasschau Shell Committee will be busy planning our 2022 Season in the coming months. We will continue to keep in mind the words of music legend Elton John: “Music has healing power. It has the ability to take people out of themselves for a few hours.” Something we all needed very badly, again, this summer.
Thank you again to our audiences, performers and behind the scenes talent. Please be sure to follow us @KasschauMemorialShell on our new platform, GroupSpot, as well as Facebook and Instagram! And to Zigi Putnins for his amazing pics!!!
If you are interested in joining our Committee, email us at KasschauShell@gmail.com! Please stay healthy and safe, and we can’t wait to see you next summer at the Shell! “
