Valley was also recognized as high performing in the adult specialties of orthopedics and urology.
“These distinctions are a reflection of Valley’s longstanding commitment to providing high-quality clinical care and service,” said Robert Brenner, MD, MMM, FACHE, President and CEO, Valley Health System. “I would like to recognize our dedicated staff for all that they do each day to care for our patients and their families. I would also like to thank our community for choosing Valley for their healthcare.”
According to U.S. News & World Report, the organization began publishing hospital ratings in 1990, as “America’s Best Hospitals,” to identify the medical centers in various specialties that excel in treating patients with particularly difficult conditions. Analysis of more than 4,500 hospitals across the nation includes the review of nationwide data from across multiple clinical specialties, procedures, and conditions. Ratings are based on patient outcomes, patient experience, a variety of care-related factors, and expert opinion obtained through physician surveys.
