Ridgewood NJ, Stellar Pizza is a new pizza-making robot launched by three ex-SpaceX engineers. The pizzeria can make, bake, and top a pizza in under five minutes. It can fit on the back of a truck and be deployed anywhere. Customers can order from a menu or create their own pizzas. The foodservice industry is currently facing a global shortage of labor that is expected to worsen over the next decade. Automated solutions like Stella Pizza provide a cost-effective way to fill unwanted positions in the food industry.

  1. Soon nobody will leave their house for any reason. A stifled, stay at home, use the computer for everything, have everything delivered world. A locked down, anti social world.
Glad I grew up decades ago when we actually walked to school with friends (in all kinds of weather), drove to the downtown shopping district and walked from store to store (especially fun at Christmas time), spent a few bucks at outdoor flea markets in spring and summer (Englishtown Auction comes to mind), went to see our favorite bands play live at the Garden State Arts Center, had friends over to our backyard nearly every weekend during the summer for barbeque and swim parties that went from early afternoon until 11pm (curfew set by my parents), went mini bike riding (with the other boys in our local Rupp Motors mini bike club) on trails in the woods behind our neighborhood. Winter had it’s own outdoor activities like snowboarding which we did often at what we called “the cliff” which was really just a higher area of ground above an old closed service road. We were outside more than inside every season of the year. We didn’t have computers because they were not in homes in the 1960s and early 1970s and the thought that we would likely have them in our homes someday was just a passing thought. And that we would never walk or drive to anywhere anymore wouldn’t have appealed to us. And now it’s coming and the world is not better for it.

Let’s take it one step further: a human RESTful API. This way, I define __exactly__ the way I want you to communicate with me. Then, you send me API requests. If your request doesn’t exactly match my schema, then my API responds to you with an error message. There you go. No more human intervention…
