Ridgewood NJ, according to the Village Manager Keith Kazmark, tree planting in the Central Business District and in Village residential areas is now underway! Thank the Shade Tree Commission and the Village of Ridgewood Parks & Recreation Department for their advocacy and work in maintaining our tree canopy through the Village. The Healthy, noninvasive plantings will benefit us all.
As previously reported the Village of Ridgewood is replacing trees in the wells along Chestnut, Oak, Walnut Streets and on Franklin Avenue with new trees chosen to thrive in our downtown and provide more shade in the summer. better air quality and a more beautiful downtown!

Who’s doing the work?
Make sure trees planted on residential streets be planted under power lines instead of lawns.
Then years later, PGE&G can destroy one side during pruning.
